Ever since the USPS rate hike, I have been mindful about shipping prices and have used FedEx Ground for heavier packages. Their web interface is okay. The biggest turn off is re-typing the buyer address. Re-typing buyer's address turned me off to it. I ordered the FedEx CD software, but the buggy software never installed correctly.

So, when Paypal announced the integrated UPS module, I imagined staring off into space all the seller benefits:

no typing
ok, some typing, but the buyer address is already prepared

where is my package?
no more of those buyer questions since paypal automatically emails a tracking number to the buyer

less accounting
your ups fees are paid via paypal. and since it is already in electronic format, you can crunch your numbers easily for tax purposes.

anyone else excited?!

The re-typing the address is in reference to the FedEx web interface. The preference is to just copy and paste addresses like I do with Dazzle. But since forms are broken up for First, Last, Address, City, State, Zip... it is even more tedious to copy and paste each section.

You type in ALL CAPS, so I understand why you didn't comprehend that initial point.

I suggest checking the addresses that Paypal users install as their confirmed address. Many use an improper postal protocol and many misspell parts of their address. I have received some incredibly wacky looking addresses in the 'my address' block. I also like to add the full 9 digit zip code for all Media Mail items and most Paypal users do not add that.

Anybody using this service who uses UPS Worldship? I have a daily pickup, and I am not sure if these two systems would work together.

We have a daily pickup and using UPS worldship. It is ten times better then the feature offered from Paypal. Also I tried comparing the same shipment once and I found out that paypal UPS charges more then using Worldship.

Cool things about UPS worldship:
1.Desktop app. (faster access and a solid development work. No bugs)

2.Auto export daily shipment to db.

3.Saves address.

4.Void shipments.

5.Issue Call tags.

6.Fast rate quote.

7.Enter the zip code and city and state auto fills.

lot more which i dont remember right now.

Open an account with UPS. The worldship is an awesome software.

PayPal UPS charges are exactly the same as my UPS account, in fact my UPS account is linked to PayPal shipping.

The desktop software from UPS is only available if you sign up for their "daily pickup" service which is another cost which I can not justify at this time.
