Today, looking at an eBay auction item, I noticed that the seller has written, in the "location," no location, only a message that reads "3, 5 & 7 day auctions!". In the "country/region" section, "United States/(city)".
Are we allowed to have other messages in the "location" section of our listing????
I'd love to be able to say "No Handling Charge" there but would never have thought that option would be legit.

ROADSMITH:
I have been using that space for a couple of years to write a message and see many folks doing it. I hope they don't stop letting us, I think it makes a nice touch. Fairly limited to characters, I'm sorry I don't have the exact figure.

What I don't understand is how some people use HTML in that area, I have tried and failed. Does anyone know how they do it?

I have been using HTML to post my location for at least 3 years. Really nothing to it.
<b><font color=red><font size=+2>CENTRAL COAST CA. Thats all there is to it.

I saw an ebay announcement the other day that html no longer is allowed in that area. Looks like if you already have it, it continues, but you can no longer enter it.
(edited.... not sure if it was an announcement or if I saw it while browsing the instructions.)

I am glad to see this thread as I have been wondering where to go to change the location information. I searched everywhere in the site map and under preferences and couldn't find anything about making a change. I thought I would add my zip code.

Well I guess they did drop it. I've been using it for a long time, and just today, noticed in my location area on my auctions, its showing only the code. oh well
