I recently sold a print. The buyer emails me that it did not come with a Certificate of Authenticity. They also say it looks like it was printed on a computer and smells of ink.
I purchased this a year ago, never opened it (package is sealed), my listing did not say it had a COA, and no I didn't print it out.
The buyer has almost a 10% negative feedback rating and I accepted payment thru PayPal....
My listings clearly state..any questions? email me.
Any suggestions?

Paypal might be a problem if you did not send insured or DC - I guess it depends on what your return policy is. Was this as advertised? Obviously, the certificate of authenticity is not an issue since it was not mentioned in the message.

What is a problem is the 10% negative feedback as a buyer. What do those feedback say? If sellers who neg buyers would also file FVF, chances are you would have never had to deal with this.

I don't really have the return policy covered. All my listing says is..Items are as described, any questions email me.
Yes, I feel that the item was as described, I didn't fluff.
The negatives that they have, upon further inspection are all from their buyers.
And I did send it with DC.

It sounds like you have your ducks in a row as far as Chargebacks, but what about ebay policy.

If this item is indeed a printer print-out (not say YOU printed it, but you did say you never opened the package), then it is covered by Ebay policy about selling copies of prints.

Hopefully this person will just go away, or if they do report fraud, you can get ebay to actually inspect the product, instead of taking customer word for it.

In any case, come up with a return policy that you can live with and stick by it. (If you don't accept returns, make that clear in the auction) ( I put 'unless I grossly misrepresented the item, All Sales are Final')
