Were doing something like that with a buyer now. They Bin and thought they paid. They e-mailed us and ask when the item would ship. We told them it would be Tuesday. (this will come back to haunt me).

Another week later get an e-mail. Been 11 days and you have not shipped I am going to neg you. Did the research, no payment. Said it was a PayPal nothing, even did billpoint search just in case, nothing. Wrote back and said we do not have your payment better check your account. Please send copy of PP receipt for use to trace

Guy writes back and said I PAID!! [email protected] on XXXXXX, seconds after the auction closed.

That is nice but that is not us. You need to look at the payment and see it is unclaimed, cancel it and send to us.

I looked at my auctions and I check our feedback once in a while and he neged me.

Well I got him back and I filed NPB. Now he is wanting to pay for the item to avoid the NPB. I told him I relisted it already (which I did) and he was out of luck they would stand. Now they are crying to eBay.

All this cause the person was a jerk about it all. They started right off with the neg thing and names. Did not believe me the payment was not received.

These People!!! Oh well 2 more red marks from idiots.

Thanks, been wanting to vent about this for a couple days. This also shows I know exactly what your talking about.

Jim

There must be a virus out there infecting buyers. I had a very similiar situation in Oct. After 3 emails & 30 days, I put in a NPB & threatened a neg. Still no answer, I negged her. This was her 3rd neg in 6 months for nonpayment. After all of this I get an email wanting to pay for the mdse. I said sorry has been relisted & sold. She really turned nasty, called me all sorts of names, but didn't neg me!! Course she still coud, the 90 days aren't up yet. but then maybe she got narued.

Have them forward the PayPal notice of payment sent, email from Paypal.

Bet they never received one because they never paid...

I have a friend who sold using BIN a while back. The reason she won't use it anymore is that she had a newbie buyer who thought that when they did the BIN the seller was "automatically" paid with the credit card they had on file with eBay. No amount of e-mails or links to eBay rules would convince these idiots. It wasn't until nearly two months later when the "charge" didn't show up on their credit card statement that they "got it". Well by that time she'd filed for FVF and relisted. Interestingly the bidders were NARU about a month later.

I get this on my web site all the time. I have an order form for credit card payment and another one for other payments (C2it, check, money orders). At the bottom of the shopping cart I have two large buttons. One says "Credit card orders" and the other says "Non credit card orders." If you click the non credit card order, the top of the form in big red letters says "this is NOT the form for credit card orders. For CC orders click this link " followed by the link. At least once a week, some fills out the non credit card order, enters the payment method (there is a default of "not chosen" so I know they purposely clicked one of them), does not respond to my emails asking about payment and then emails me a few weeks later to ask where their item is.

When I tell them they never paid, they argue with me. One woman actually wrote back "I used my credit card on the Internet a few weeks ago at another site, why don't you get the number from them?"

I think folks should have to pass a test and get a license to shop online.

The part that scares the hell out of me is that they allow these same "duh" types to vote!

I realize that some people are just deadbeat bidders, but some might actually be sincere bidders that have honestly come across some serious financial loss.
I had bid on 3 auctions, from the same seller, only to find out that she had an invalid email, phone number and mailing address. Once she had contacted me 3 days after the auction close, it was too late, I had already reported her to eBay for "invalid contact info". (Stay with me here.) I informed her that I had reported her and she should update her info quickly. Well not quickly enough, she was NARU'd. About a month and a half later, she was allowed back on eBay as a registered user, with correct contact info. Well, she asked me if I still wanted the merchandise. Of course I did! I just wasn't expecting her to be back as a registered user. I wasn't expecting to have to pay her, so I, of course, used the money for other things. (Still with me on this?) So I arranged a date that I could pay her on, and she was more than willing to work with me. Now this is the honest truth! The week that I had planed on paying her, my husbands' job shut down. I work too, but he, I have to admit, is the main "bread winner" around here. The money I bring home barely covers our bills. But I am very happy that she is understanding and she and her husband are in pretty much the same boat. I worked out payment arrangements with her and all is well.
I just had to let you all know that there are bidders out there that are sincere, but "stuff" happens.
