I am thankful for Ebay and my husband! I've kind of been on the pity pot for the last two weeks because my newly wed husband is going to spend Thanksgiving somewhere else, I've been feeling the "oh poor me" syndrome. But as I went out today, I ran into a lady that I've known for many years and while she is about my age, she was pushing a walker and an oxygen bottle since I've last seen her. And I came to realize that LIFE IS SHORT! I should know this, having lost both my parents and my oldest sister in the last 15 years. But it took today to wake me up to the fact that I AM THANKFUL for my health, and for the fact that my days are FREE, that I can do anything I feel like doing (or not doing, as the case may be) because I sell on Ebay and my husband fully supports and encourages what I do, and I don't have to go out and work for a living. I appreciate ALL the friends I have made and the nice people I've met on Ebay.

And I miss JACK! He was so unique and was a bright spot here on AW, no matter what, he tried to look on the bright side. So here's to you JACK, I appreciate you!

And here's to you AW'ers. I appreciate all the help and advice I've learned over the last year.

Happy Thanksgiving.........

I'm thankful that in these trying times that I still have a job to go to every morning, Ebay to give me that bit of extra money to spend on my granddaughter and my family for putting up with my constant bitching while my workplace goes through reorganization! And, I'm thankful for these boards and the loads of advice I have gotten from them!

Happy Thanksgiving!

A great reminder that we should be thankful for many things.

I am thankful for my friends and family and for all the good customers I've had this year, on and off ebay.

And I'm truly thankful I didn't start this thread and thankful that I didn't mention Jack for fear I would be accused of being a groupie who is stalking him.

Happy Thanksgiving to All!!

I'm thankful JACK is gone. That guy is a nut ("I write wif a crayon, and my keyboard is stuck in caps". I'm thankful there are a lot of people who like to waste money on my junk for sale on ebay. I'm thankful I don't have to depend on ebay anymore. What a tough way to earn a buck.

I'm thankful that we have a good president who is kicking terrorist asses. A few more votes for Gore and we'd still be negotiating with the Taliban in Afghanistan.
"Please Mullah Omar, give us Bin Laden? Please?"

PS: I'd be even more thankful if Quickdraw29 was booted off this messageboard.

I'm thankful this thread is still on the board. (Some get so upset about non Ebay related threads).

We need more time to contemplate the good things in life. Ebay is one of them, good friends I have made through Ebay is a better one, and my family and good health are the best.

I'm thankful that we have quickdraw29 for telling the truth about PAST Auction Watch members.

I'm thankful that we have the variety of members we do on Auction Watch that create the unique topics that we love to discuss.

I'm thankful that my sales have been going pretty good this month.

Most of all, I'm also thankful that I did not start this thread so as to be named a groupie of JACK. Oh, kiara, you BIG SILLY!!

And I'm even more thankful that I don't have to resort calling other members names even if I don't always agree with their opinion.

And I'm thankful that most others don't also.

You may be thankful that I don't resort to name calling. Now maybe you can try posting by not doing it either?

Also thankful that Jack is gone. Ignorant vapid fool. Annoying. Moronic. Juvenile. I hope he(or she) finds a life in some other forum. I've never responded to or mentioned anything this fool has said, and I swear I'll never mention the name again.>>

But these things are minor......

Well, I see that this thread has deteriorated into a name and character bashing of a fellow AW user who is not here.

I thought this would be a chance to give our thanks and try to be kind to one another.

There do seem to be a few on AW who can't control their juvenile behaviour and since Diana locked the other thread she may as well lock this one also.

First of all I am Thankfull for living in a country that is free. To worship God in my way. To have the family I have had, to have grown up in the 50's and the opportunity to persure a career that I thourghly enjoyed.

Also for the internet for it has given me the opportunity to travel to areas which I am not able to get to.

Then this is not high on my list but eBay because of the friends I have met and AW for the service they provide. There is no free lunch and I feel that the fees they charge are within my limits.

This AW board it not high on my list because of a lot of back stabbing there is. Each to our own and if you don't like me or someone else back out and leave well enough alone and leave your comments in your head not on your fingers. Love the graphics that are on here and gives me a lift for the day instead of my zoloft.

Take care everyone and have a nice quiet Thanksgiving because starting Friday things will get hectic.

I'm thankful for what I have... a nice home in a great little city, three grown sons, four grandchildren, time for my eBay hobby.

Also thankful for what I don't have... traffic, anyone living with me, any snow ever, any reason to deal with people to the far left of the bell curve. Well, except for the occasional bidder who isn't quite up to speed...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and a great Christmas season with lots of green on your eBay page.

Kiara, you are the one who lowered themselves to a juvenile level
by posting this:
And I'm truly thankful I didn't start this thread and thankful that I didn't mention Jack for fear I would be accused of being a groupie who is stalking him.

How did you expect this not to turn into a "Jack" thread? Geezzz give it a break will ya?
or Does the truth hurt that "We" all don't miss him?

I am thankful for my health and those that are near and dear in my heart, but also hope that those in need here in the US have HAPPY and SAFE Thanksgiving.

Sigh. It was a fun comment on my part because glassgrl mentioned "the name" and because the thread that is now locked happened to be on top at that time and it had the "groupie" comment in it. But I think you already know that, twelvepole. So don't try to skew things to suit yourself.

And just to let you know. I am not "mourning" the loss of Jack even though he was a fun person here and I think that some of you miss the humor behind many of the posts made by others here.

Happy Thanksgiving to All.

kiara,

I do agree 100 percent with you on the need to recoginize the people who are giving of themselves to serve and provide for our protection. While most of us will be eating a nicely prepared traditional Thanksgiving dinner, they will be whatever the service provides for them. I'll bet 100 bucks, our will taste better.

YEAGER-you'd win that bet-I was in the navy over in vietnam in 1965-having turkey dinner on a navy ship isnt the ideal place of celebrating the holidays.
