Has anyone relisted closed & unsold free fixed price listings (October 31) as auctions? You may be in for a pleasant suprise (if it sells).

It's always been a nice surprise..that eBay gives us back the listing fee. I didn't look, but I'm betting they did again.

That's it, a free relist if it sells and you can convert the free relist to an auction format.

SSSSSSSHHHHHHH
It was suppose to be a secret. If Ebay finds out, they will take that away too.

Don't we have to relist within 30 days to get the free relist if it sells? If so, hasn't it been more than 30 days since Ebay had the Free Listing Day for Fixed-Priced items?

It's been more than 30 days since the promotion started but the listed items all had a duration time ( 3 to 10 days ).
I wonder if all auction items in a fixed price auction had to sell to get this hidden feebie? I had some of the auctions where not all of the quantity sold and they are not eligible for a free relist.

There is no 30 day limit on relists. As long as you know the auction number you can relist using an auction number search.

Just got this text from Ebay in regard to relisting items. Note that we can relist and get the listing fee refunded if we relist 30 days from the CLOSING DATE of the auction.

Re-listing Your Item

If your item doesn't sell the first time you list it, you can re-list with special pricing.

Here's how: If your item sells the second time, you'll get the Insertion Fee for the second listing back. If it doesn't sell the second time, you will pay the Insertion Fee.

This offer is only good for one re-listing.

Please make sure:

You didn't receive any bids on your item if it was a regular (no-reserve) auction.
You are re-listing the same item within 30 days of the closing date of the first listing.
You didn't get any bids that met or exceeded your reserve price (for a Reserve Price Auction).
If you choose to have another Reserve Price Auction (optional), you re-list the item with the same or lower reserve price.
You didn't list your item using Ad format.
To re-list, go to the item page for your completed listing, and click on "Re-list this item."
