I am negotiating with an antque store that is closing to sell their Fenton Glass. They are a registered dealer for Fenton. I want to use a new ID for this to keep it separate from my auctions. Question:: If i set up a new account, it will have Zero feedback. How can I show that I am a powerseller & have almost 500 ++ feedbacks???

Technically, you can't - that's the whole point of it being a NEW account.
YOu can always just state that "my other id, XXXX, is a powerseller with XXX feedbacks," but there's no way to verify it- it's just words in your ad.
If you want to sell under an account with good feedback, either use your main account or build up the new account by buying or selling lots of items. There just isn't a shortcut for this.

Maybe you can explain the situation in your new ID auctions. Place your powerseller ID in your new auctions, so those interested can refer to it. If there is a question they can email either of your ID's to see if you are really who you say you are.

Thanks davidsmom. This is exactly what I had in mind. Didn't know if this would fly. I am not trying to rip anyone off, but want buyers to know I a am reputable seller. I just want to keep everything separate for business purposes.

A couple of years ago, I set up a second account just for consignment sales. ( It saves a lot of time = $$$ for my accountant at the end of the year). When I first started it, I rounded up a bunch of low dollar, fast selling items from some friends at the flee mart and listed it for them. No fees, no comissions, 100% net to them just so I could build up a feedback of at least ten. It only took about 2 or 3 weeks for the feedback to start building, and it all showed as seller's feedback. Your big time Fenton collectors WILL check that feedback before they bid on high dollar items. They will also check your "ME" page, which is a good place to inform them of your regular account and the purpose of this new account.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Don't forget that you'll have sunglasses showing for the new ID for 30 days. That will really draw attention so it's best to register a new ID as soon as possible so the sunglasses will disappear before you start using it.

Sanmar- here is an auction description that you should read. It is a seller than has two user ID's and why he has them. This should help you.

I always forget one of the brackets.

A great big THANK YOU to all of you. I already have a second ID set up in eBay, so the glasses are gone. I will do exactly what the seller is dong in Libra's link is doing. Put in an explanation as to why I am doing this & that have another ebay ID. If it works for him it should work for me.
