I'm no Asian ceramics expert but I love a good mystery. The OMC Japan foil label was a bear to track down but the Pottery & Glass:Pottery & China:Pottery:Made in Japan category on ebay had a strong clue when one of the items had a made by Otagiri(OMC)Japan! line in their auction description. That yielded a google search result that had this link

This wonderful Otagiri Manufacturing Company (OMC Japan) teapot stands 7 3/4" tall and has a delightful leaf & berry pattern on it, the sticker on the bottom says "OMC Japan" and is a rather early piece of theirs. (about 70 years old).
At least I found out what the heck OMC stands for

Thanks so very much! My little one was still asleep so I ran to the computer this morning, saw your message and started searching In two hours I have found that
ENESCO bought out Otagiri Manufacturing Company around 1980. That is all I have found so far.
