Great price for these photos.
P47 thunderbolt
DC3 transports
B24 medium range bomber

All and all, not too shabby.

Very interesting item, great part of history.

Has to be rare, would like to see the price soar.

Would make more sense to me than that beer can.

I wish he/she would post more pictures of the nose art.

I would think that the album should hit $700. That's about $10 each for the nose art pics.

But I would guess the men who collect the nose art are a little older and the beer can probably was bought by a younger one. It's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Wow, to find something like that would be teriffic. I probably couldn't have sold it.

Libra, I'm with you. What a piece of history. It would be tough to part with if it were mine.

My brothers "father-in-law" was stationed in the South Pacific during WWII & actually painted nose art on many aircraft.

He das tons of photos of all the aircraft he painted. He was a commercial artist after the war & he just turned 85.

Now he paints some of the most beautful roses you have ever seen

The auction ended today with three snipers that drove the price up from $375 to $613.

And just another example for the whiners who say that snipers are hurting auctions.

I have a lot of my jewelry auctions that end with sniping and I love watching it go.

Great Item - Great Price....worth every penny and probably much more.

That could have easily been either an estate or abandoned storage locker item. What a flea market find that'd make.

I wonder if there is any market for photographs of graffiti on the sides of buildings? If so, I can take an instamatic to the north side of town and make a fortune.
