*shrug* so far all my auctions have ended sucessfully. only one never sells... so I dont bother to relist it anymore.

only had 8 auctions up this month. last one ended on the 12th... I dont think I'll post up anymore for the remaining month...

unfortunately that doesn't mean I can relax, I still have all these other things to take care of.

not that selling on ebay is tough, so far its been relatively stress free. guess I'm lucky with great buyers.

My sales have been rather disappointing. More didn't sell yesterday than did. I am thnking it may be too close to the holidays to relist. Gifts won't make it in time for Christmas unless I ship overnight & do shorter auctions. I guess I will just get ready for the Post Holiday sales!

This last week we listed 34 auctions. 11 Sold with BIN. Of the 23 left 2/3 sold. Very unusual for us as our sell through rate is usually very high. It's just too close to Christmas I guess.

Well I stopped listing a week ago and then I noticed something I had went for some good dollars so I decided to list a few of my relists just to clean up my inventory. I put the item on for a BIN and sold it immediately. Of the ones that I have on now I only have one bid but thats okay because when these close out I can pack them away for my rummage sale and start the new year out fresh and clean.

Good for you Sanmar, but you always do good. I honestly don't know how you can pack all those dishes. Have a nice Holliday in Sunny Arizona.

Merry Christmas to All

100% sell through
BUT
I listed super cheap and played the gamble game.
Two closing last night went for the opening bid
One went a little low
Nine were good to awesome so the gamble paid off!
I did the Sunday night / Monday morning close this week ~
a dozen ending in the next few hours that remain to be seen ~ I don't have big hopes for them though!

I too decided not to list since it seemed that auctions were closing mostly at the listing price - no sooner said than done and I had several items that sold at nice prices - one item I relisted sold for 2x's + the original listed price..still don't regret my decision...shipping the 50 items I sold this weekend and then I'm going to enjoy the Holidays! I hope you all do too!

So-so sales, lousy profits. I've raised my starting prices since bidding is down, and that has helped. Wondering if Christmas shoppers are only looking at BINS?

I did some last minute listings that ended Sunday and did great sales. I wouldn't be surprised if some send a check and ask to have the item by Christmas.

As it stands for myself,....last week was great, only because I listed a collection that lots of buyers wanted, so I did excellent. Which will only happen when the right merchandise is listed in my case that is?
When I list items that are not considered hot items, I don't do good. So for me to say Im doing good, or Im doing lousy, That I cant do, because it all depends on my items.
But the best feeling is when your listing items you already know will do well and get lots of bids, that's how it is in my business.
This week, I don't even feel like listing only because I already know, I'm not going to do well. But I list anyway in the hopes of selling, which I sometimes get surprised also.
My average for last week was 100% of everything that I listed.....sold with many bids............This week, I will be happy if I sell a few out of 44 right now that are listed.
Strange Business............Sometimes!

My sales in November were exceptional but December for the most part has been crap. I'm letting my remainging auctions run out and then I'm not listing again until after New Year.

I see these threads and sometimes wonder if there's something very basic going on.

Are you guys sure, absolutely certain, that you're selling something people want to buy?

Fluffy - good point. I browse all the time - bidders sale items, categories I frequent,
categories I'm unfamiliar with.

In the process I see things that amaze me, high prices for things that astound me, items listed that I can't imagine anyone wanting and terms of sale/shipping that are bizarre yet I continue to see it all.

H.L Mencken wrote that " noone ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public" and to that I would add "or their taste, or complete lack thereof".

Fluffy what you sell you don't get alot on shipping, you have nothing to lose and yet you are making a profit. Just keep up the good work. I know its alot of hard work, but if you enjoy it your sales will maintain.

Fluffy: after reading your last thread, I am wondering just what you meanr. No matter waht you list, there is a buyer out there. I realize that some items are "hot" & sell at once. That isn't true of everything. But these items have a market.
