My Buyer left me feedback,........I went and left him feedback by clicking on the item number in my feedback in the "My Ebay"........Today I go to leave other buyers feedback and I noticed his feedback now has NO Item Number.....but there is the word......Private......so your not able to click and see what the item was that feedback was left for.
Can someone tell me how this can happen?
I have never taken notice of this happening before. Where my auction was not a private Auction.

But how was i able to click on the item number when i left his feedback "from my ebay page"........and now the number is not there anymore.
If he had private feedback wouldnt it have shown up at the very beginning?.........I'm only guessing here because i really dont know how this happened after the item number was showing......
I just went and clicked on his feedback and I was able to see all his feedback, and the one that I left for him was there also, but it was marked Private........just like on my page, .............But his feedback is not private, and my auction was not private.
Please if you can explain this to me, i would appricate it.

Was your item listed in the adult catagory if so this is why. This way the whole world doesen't know what the customer bought from you.

I went to check the item number that i had recorded when I left the feedback, and sure enough it was an item I put into the Mature Audience catagory.
Do you think that the number of the item stays when my buyer leaves me the feedback, and then as soon as I click on the item number to leave his feedback, that is when it changes to .......private......and you dont see the auction number anymore?
Because I have sold lots of things in the Mature catagory but I have never went back into my feedback to see if the item number ever changed to private.
Thank you for your inbut, because it helped me to understand how this works. I have been doing this for 5 years and never took notice before.....

Just wanted to mention, that last night I received feedback for an Item that was in mature audience section and the item number was there, (my ebay page) I clicked on it to leave them there feedback and the number has not changed to....private.......
So now I really dont know how the auction changes to private.
Just an update from what I said last night.
