So I signed in to the other AW tonight and saw the mgmt had posetd a new message. Normally it's just mundane things (system updates, scheduled maintenance, etc). But this one has me curious.
"In the event of a Free Listing Day over the Holidays, please take a moment and review AW's Free Listing Day Policy as currently posted in the Free Listing Day FAQ"
Hmmmm...ok, I noticed some one was commenting earlier about the possibility, but has there been any recent news?

Your''e talking about the service I use.
It's a CYA statement claiming no responsibility if they can't post your auctions on a free listing day. They get too overwhelmed with millions of auctions being posted both on their site and the exceptional slowness of eBay themselves on that situation.
Don't get TOO outraged- all the auction posting places have something similar, and they almost ALL have problems on FLD.
No, They don't know anything, they're just predicting like the rest of us. I know last year on the big FLD day, I had over 1000 items to launch, and NOTHING got through. I complained, and I'm sure thousands of others did too. They're just expecting the problems that other companies (AW) won't admit to.
The only auction posting company I'm aware of that doesn't have problems like this is CA, and I think it's because they don't have enough customers to get overwhelmed

I wasn't thinking along the outraged lines, and I agree with the CYA mentality. I was just wondering (read as hoping!) they were aware of some news the rest of us weren't.
