I have been on ebay since 1997. I never remember them announcing it until the day it started. I'm hoping for tomorrow as it has always been the Thursday before Christmas. I'm wishing and hoping!!!!

Don't they usually announce it around 8:30 Pacific time? Seems I remember staying up all night many times in the past. It always starts at midnight so if it is tomorrow it will have to be posted sometime tonight.
This year I have been working for 3 days and have it all ready to go (I plan to release mine at the stroke of midnight and not chance all the outages with Ebay and servers). So, since I am ready this year, they probably won't have one at all. That means thousands of others are waiting to pounce and they know it!

The past two years, it was the 20th. That will be my prediction. On every FLD, they have announced it about 12 hours in advance.

They initially post it on the Ebay community board. But, the news spreads quickly and is usually posted on all message boards within minutes.

It's a good question because they hide it so well. I believe click on Community, click on announcements. I hear about it either here on AW or from a newsletter.

I've always seen them on The eBay General Announcements Board about 8:30 PM PST the day before the blessed event.
