somebody else do a search on antique dog bowl or dish (it will only be one page long in results) and at the bottom of the page there's an auction for a Cast Iron Airedale or something.........everytime I click on that auction it shuts my computer down.
I get the dreaded FATAL EXCEPTION blue screen.
What would do that? Is it just me? The bids are up from 9.99 to 53.00 so somebody can see it.

It sounds to me that you have a corruption in your system. Shouldn't be happening.

A week or two ago.
There was a thread hear about keyword spaming and the auction in question was locking everyone up.
Maybe because of the size of this auction you are having the same trouble.

One common thread between the two auctions is that they were both listed with Andale tools. This particular one not only has an image that is over 100k, but also uses the Andale Gallery feature which uses Macromedia Flash. If you don't have enough resources to load the picture or Flash (or if you don't have Flash installed) that could potentially cause your system to crash.

Then, don't click on that auction. Move on to another item and forget it. This seller loses out because of their crappy listing service.

dadofstickboy, I would have to agree, probably your computer doesn't like all the graphics and doesn't have the necessary memory to handle it so it is shutting down.

Upgrading memory is one of the best things for helping your computer out. It's cheap these days too.

Allot more memory to your browser and it should solve the problem.

I checked out the said auction, no problem, pretty door stops, BUT I have a friend, who could never view my auctions because they would always crash her computer, she blamed it on the fact that we use music on every auction. Actually, the Reason was - she was using a much older computer, with very low RAM. When she upgraded, she never experience the problem again.
Regarding this particular auction, it is a SLOW download, obviously the seller hasn't optimized their pictures, and even if optimized, the pictures are HUGE - but I see noting else unique about this auction, there is no music, or anything unique, or what I would consider unique.
