This came from a marine uniform, circa 1960's from the Vietnam service ribbon date. Any help in identifying?
I have delete my huge pic since tomwiii was so kind as to shrink it.

"Celeritas et Accuratio" latin

Means...."Speed and Accuracy"

2d Battalion, 3d Field Artillery

Look around this site as you may find more or maybe ask krs over on the round table if he knows for sure.

I dunno, but those types of epaulette pins weren't usually worn by marines, I don't think. Army units often adopt them with a motto and shield, but as unit insignia they're kind of unofficial. Decorative.

the reason i think it is marine is because i found the other ribbons on the uniform on a web site that shows medals and ribbons from all the armed forces and there is a ribbon from Vietnam service with a silver bar with 60 on it. there is also vietnam service award ribbon and national defense service award...on the sleeve is a strip badge that says "old ironsides"

I hate to list the pics because, even though I have resized them before uploading, they are huge on here.

Sorry guys, that is an US Army Unit, not a US Marine Corps Unit.

Click here: US Army 2d Battalion, 3d Field Artillery

I believe that is the Unit Crest of that Army Unit, their main base is on GIESSEN, Germany.
