I got my first non paying bidder; I used auction watch to send the NPB. Is it the same one that goes from eBay? I can file for FVF on 12/25/02, will I still get it if the person becomes a non registered user before then? And, is that all that needs to be done to give this person a bad mark against her?

Thanks all in advance for you comments.

the answer to all of your questions is Yes...and don't forget to neg the sucker in the end.

Thank you. I will neg her on 12/25/02 (what a happy holiday present). That will give her 3 so far and will bring her to (-1). Looking at her other items she won, it doesn't look like she will be registered for much longer.

Thanks again.

I too had my first NPB's and notified ebay through eBay..it looks like AW sent the FVF automatically..is that how it works? what if payment is received finally? Not sure i like the FVF automatic thing!

Neg them first! On eBay, if they are
suspended or close their account on their
own you can NO longer leave feedback. I
have had several people that I filed NPB
and then FVF credit on and then found I
could NOT leave them feedback! If that
situation would cause you the same distress
it caused me, please learn from my experience
and leave the feedback first! You can
always file the other things, even if the
are suspended or gone from eBay! Good luck.

Here's what happened with my last slow payer. My TOS require payment to be postmarked in 10 days. On the 15 day, I emailed the buyer to ask about payment. No answer from him. I filed NPB with ebay and they sent him the "Reminder to Pay Your Seller Notice".

With this he has 10 days to pay before I can collect my fees from ebay and he receives formal warning from them. After the fifth day, I emailed him again asking him to consider paying within the remaining 5 day period, when afterwards, I would be contacting ebay about receiving my fees back from the auction listing.

I received this longer than long, boring tale of post office mix up and returned letters and money orders from everyone. AND!, a paypal payment the next day!

NPB notice, works almost every time!

I don't think she has any intentions of paying. She has gotten 2 negs from other people before I filed the NPB. She stated she was moving and "forgot" about paying for this auction. She told me she was mailing it twice before I filed NPB. It has been 28 days and still no payment.

She got a nice neg from me on Christmas Eve, relisting it and moving on.

Merry Christmas!

I have also did NPB filing and still no reply from my buyer, 10 days later FVF I filed. Then my buyer contacted me and wanted to send the money, So when I received the payment I went into Ebay and Took off the FVF, because they did finally pay..........
But the Neg I had given stayed on there feedback.
A Few times I even missed out on filing for my FVF because each time they contacted me they said they would be sending a check, well, no more I listen to what they tell me,
now I go and do all my filings, and feedback, if the payment arrives great! If not I did what was needed.
