Please help - any input.
The other day I had blocked a bidder by the ebay ID (email me)
After reviewing his feedback and having ridicules questions asked I decided to block him, I notified him of the action, he replied with his attorneys office and made other very rude comments. His final email to me was "Sorry you lost. Charles E. Allen III HIS EMAIL [email protected]
This morning I checked my auctions and quickly discovered a negative, I was in shock, frankly, I am still shaking. The negative came from an auction that had closed Dec-21-02 17:00:31 PST auction# xxxxxxxx - the negative came at Dec-22-02 00:31:07 PST About 14 hours after the auction close (next morning!) The person who NEG me was (email me) WHo bid and won the auction xxxxxx wanted in the first place.
The user information as in the Phone number does not work. Expected
The FRAUDULENT Bid and NEG has to be removed. The eBay IDS xxxxxx and xxxxx must be suspended indefinatly!

I did SPEAK to datasync.com and DID in fact CONFIRM the two email addresses ARE in fact the SAME account. I have more proof as well..

Nobody is around! I emailed and filed with squaretrade, neged the fraud bidder -1 (expected) contacted ebay by email.

I truly wish to report this firm to whomever I could, as well as sue for obvious reasons.
----

the auction on question was a $1 open and feature.

The user information as in the Phone number does not work.
just email ebay under invalid contact info and let them handle it.
As far as square trade goes if you want to spent 20.00 for nothing , go for it.

as well as sue for obvious reasons.

This is a joke right? Just because some loser gives you a neg you want to throw how much out the door for this?

Just calm down, send all the facts to safe harbor and keep after them. You will only get canned answers to start with.

The first thing you need to do is relax. Have a beer, soda or whatever. Collect your facts then email them to eBay. (safe Harbor)
I think with the invalid phone number and I also think that eBay should beable to recognize that the two email addresses are the same and let eBay do the work. Sueing won't help unless he is the owner and has megabucks. It is Sunday and it probably won't be resolved for a while. If your a Powerseller than contact them also. Good Luck

Calm down......your health is more important than 1 neg. Or 1000 negs for that matter. Ebay may or may not remove the neg, but you'll go on and business won't be affected. Take a breath and leave emotionless response to the neg tomorrow. Learn from the experience. WHY did you e-mail the bidder AFTER blocking his bids? As nice as you may have explained your actions, this still probably came off as an insult, and you had nothing to gain and all to lose. You already knew that you were dealing with someone who was ridiculous. In fact, I'm sorry to say that once you e-mailed the seller, the rest was fairly predictable.

I went into datasync and saw that it was an ISP. ISP's have certain rules and regulations you must follow in order to subscribe to their services. If you feel that he as abused you or threatened you in anyway see if datasync has an abuse policy. Write [email protected] and see if there is someone there that can help you. I know Yahoo has one, webtv also has one and I know if I threatened or harassed anyone my ISP would cut me off also. Just send the abusive emails to them and see what happens. When I have written to abuse at Yahoo you get an automated message saying that they received the email and are looking into the matter. I think I wrote about 30 or 40 of them this summer as I was getting emails from porno sites in the US and UK and they all had viruses. Now Yahoo has a policy about prono but I doubt if they police it, but I haven't received any more from them.

Thanks
As per eBay "it is advisable to notify the block", HA!
Calls are in, emailZZ sent, and this post listed, some people are heartless. not that he knew, my uncle has passed today - I was to see him in the hospital this morning, never the less spent most of the morning dealing with the issue.. history shows, 3 times comes around.

All over a bid block. the intention was to prevent trouble - Is there no sure way to prevent this?

OK, well, one way to prevent it is to stop trying so hard to do so. I don't know what you were selling, how much it cost, etc. But, keep in mind that blocking the bid iss antagonistic by nature. It may be your right, but it's not always worth it. Ever have someone steal a parking spot from you? Now what can happen-- 1) Challenge the other driver on it. Odds are the other person is confrontational, so this will probably just lead to a shouting match, 2) Find another spot, it's just not worth it.

All buyers are not ideal, nor aare all sellers. This is tru in B&M and internet. B&M stores probably spend a lot of time dealing with a few customers who don't really provide much business, haggling over prices, returning things, etc. But providing good customer service to everyone is the cost of doing business.

This is a bit rambling and long winded, but how would you feel if you walked into a store, asked a few questions, and were then informed you could not buy anything. Well, I'd be pissed and tell my friends not shop there. Leaving this feedback is the only way your blocked bidder has to do this in the eBay world.

Anyways, it's usually not worth it to carry these things past the point when you get aggravated.

If I recall correctly, any feedbacks left by someone kicked off eBay (i.e. not a registered user) are converted to neutrals.

Reporting the invalid phone number might have that result.

Almost three days now and absolutely no answers from ebay. I have calls in and letters sent with pages of information. I have direct phone numbers for help at ebay and nobody returns my calls, I assume vacations are a reason.
I am a squareTrade member as well, they want $20 and if the person don't answer they remove it.

For now I stop my auctions, plus, "private" my feedback. I can't gamble $200 to 10K auctions with this hanging over my head...

I have two negs, one other is from a -1 Saudi Arabia that says "seller is mean". I tried to have it removed because the man bid on a $500, never paid and replied that the US owed his country billions, etc. I neged him then he left his neg. Ebay would not, and still will not remove it. That person has not as much as placed a bid in a 1 1/2 years, and I give eBay 20K plus a year - ????????
That was my 2nd lesson to reciprocate feedback, I never leave it first after that.

--{Feedback left by a user who provided eBay with false contact information during the transaction period (as verified by eBay), and cannot be contacted.
Participating in an eBay transaction with the intent of leaving feedback as part of a campaign to harass one or more members.}---

Well, if the above ALONE does not prove correct, what would!?
Feedback left 12 hours after the close is rather obvious, wouldn't you say..

A quick speed check of your ebay rules also states (not limited to his violations, may be double meanings)
--
5.5 Manipulation. Neither you, bidders nor sellers may manipulate the price of any item nor may you interfere with other user's listings or transactions.

6.2 Restricted Activities. Your Information (or any items listed) and your activities on the site shall not: (a) be false, inaccurate or misleading; (b) be fraudulent

(e) be defamatory, trade libelous, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing;

Feedback.
8.1 Integrity. You may not take any actions that may undermine the integrity of the feedback system.

Legal Compliance.
You shall comply with all applicable domestic and international laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations regarding your use of our service and your bidding on, listing, purchase, solicitation of offers to purchase, and sale of items.

Non-Paying bidder

Persisting to bid on a seller's items or buy items from a seller's storefront despite a warning from the seller that bids are not welcome - Sellers have every right to reject bids. In order for eBay to take action, a copy of the email warning from the seller with the subject line must be sent to Investigations. Unwelcome Buyer - Buying in violation of the terms set forth by the seller in the listing description.

Examples:
Seller will not enter into a transaction with members who have negative feedback
Bidder rebids after the seller has canceled their bid
Using a secondary account to make a transaction after an associate account has been blocked by a seller

Contact information / identity offenses

Misrepresentation of identity (user) - Representing yourself as another eBay user or registering by using the identity of someone else. False or missing contact information - Falsifying or omitting your name, address, and/or telephone number (including use of fax machines or disconnected numbers).

And more, on eBay alone!

I also contacted his ISP and presented them with his violations. I was confirmed that the two email addresses were of the same account. If he claimed he let someone else use his account then that is also a violation of his agreement (as stated)

WELL, everyone, have a great day, and fantastic week.
PS
I will post any updates.

You only have 2 negs? Out of how much feedback? I haven't had a neg yet, but I know it will come sooner or later. After reading all the advice here on feedback, I am prepared not to take it to heart. Start posting on the Round Table, that will toughen you up for sure! LOL I think you are making "much to do about nothing." There are worse things in life - like loosing a good friend to AIDS less than a week before Christmas! I think I would calm down, put an explanation with the neg and move on. A neg, unless you have more negs than positives, never stopped me from bidding on something. I understand there are mean and vindictive people out there (I work with one) and am quick to take that into consideration. Also take into consideration, this is not a happy time of year for everybody. Tempers tend to flair more easily and the lonely can go two ways - either very depressed or down right mean! Put this aside and enjoy your holiday!

BOTH of that users accounts were SUSPENDED today!

His last email to me, the one the night before the BS feedback was -
"Sorry you lost."

I could not resist the reply to that today.
With
"Hello Charles,
No - sorry - you lost.
--
Lots of Love,"

HAAAAA!

The Presidents office called as well and said they will pass it on for removal review.

I will keep you updated.......

replying to these types and getting in a tit for tate for words is a HUGE mistake. Cyberspace is easily minipulated and they could make your e-bay life miserable if they choose. Just Move on already before you cause yourself more damage thatn you had in the first place.
