I just bought some of the rigid mailers for mailing my postcards but wondered if I should still cut a piece of cardboard for added support?
Anyone else use them and do you put extra cardboard in them?
Thanks!

Where did you find the mailers? I have postcards but haven't sold any because I don't want to cut up a bunch of cardboard. Thanks in advance.
I get the 8x6 size. For postcards that sell for under $5, I cut the mailer in half and put the postcard in a sleeve, put it in the mailer and tape the cut side closed. It usually weighs exactly an ounce and can be sent for 37c. Otherwise I put the postcard in a 4x6 toploader and put that in a whole mailer. I can mail that for 83c.

I take advantage of the after Xmas sales and buy very cheap Xmas cards (K-Mart had them 48 to a box for around $2.50). I place my postcard in a plastic sleeve, put it between two 4x6 index cards and then insert it in the Xmas card. I cross out the sayings inside the card and write a thank-you with my name. I also write in red a "do not bend" on the envelope. I've never had any problems with this, and my customers seem not to mind.

I bought them from an Ebay seller and they are great. But, I was concerned about their ability to stay rigid during transit.
I can't get into Ebay now to get his id but will let you know tomorrow. He charged $14.95 for 50 and they are the larger photo mailers. The self seal really works with no tape needed. That was what I loved, but I went ahead and cut up some cardboard just in case.
Maybe I will take a couple of my cheaper cards and mail them plain just to see if they make it ok.
