I am trying to figure out the new ups rates- for ONE TIME PICKUP !!
as of saturday, on their website you can no longer easily enter : your ship from zip code...ship to zip code and one time pick up and weight and dimensions and get rates...
the program is only coming back with one -time pick/ and air ! rates?
what am i doing wrong or what has changed...
i don't have a daily pickup preset account - i just call ups when i needed a pick up
i ship via ups the big heavy packages that i can not carry to post office or someplace else to ship and use the * one time pickup for ground ups rates *
any clues as to what they have done with that program?... suggestions?

It always used to be $4 per package over base rate.(daily pickup rate) I don't know if that also went up though.

A few months ago I set up an UPS account. Seems there's a new structure and you don't have to have daily pick-up and you don't have to pay a pick up fee. I've used it for my B&M store and my website. Free shipping supplies, starter labels, lots of reference books, etc. I've shipped from none per week to some every day. Down side is that the driver won't stop (unless there is a delivery) and I have to signal him that I have a package. They bill weekly and expect payment on receipt. If I miss the driver I can either drop it off at a UPS drop off site or wander around until I find a Big Brown Truck. When using the website to print labels I get a guaranteed delivery date, tracking, and all the goodies that daily pick up people get. I don't know if you have to be a business or not, I am so I didn't ask.

You need to check to see what state it is going to. When I got an air rate and checked the zip it was to Hawaii. They don't do Ground shipping there.

My rates went up around $2 per package with UPS rates today. FEDEX Ground is about the same rates I used to pay. I think I may have to switch.
