So I saw a monitor I was thinking about bidding on....approved bidders only..I emailed asking for permission to bid and here is the reply I just got. Seems really flaky to me, especially offering me the same unit cheaper than the BIN price...I don't like to tattle usually but this looks like an example of the kind of scumbags who are ruining it for reputable sellers. What do you all think?
Thank you for your inquiry. The auction opens for bidding during the
final
four hours of the auction.
Answers to common questions:
Does this item have a warranty?
Yes, it is brand new in box, unopened. It carries Sony's 3 year
warranty on
new monitors.
Is shipping really FREE?
Yes, ground delivery is free within the continental United States.
I currently have just one of these monitors in stock, however, my
source for
these monitors has 15 remaining in stock (down from 63 just 2 days
ago).
These monitors can be ordered direct for $601 including shipping.
To reduce the ordering hassle, I'd be willing to let you order the item
directly. All that is required is a valid credit card to purchase from
this
vendor. I recommend you act quickly since these monitors are selling
quickly.
If you are interested, please send $10 through paypal to
(address deleted)
for order instructions.

I would run away from that offer as quickly as possible. I would also turn headers on it that email and send it to safe harbor. Something is very smelly about that offer!!

I would be willing to bet that if you bid on that auction, you would never see the merchandise. This guy is out to grab a quick 10 grand and then he'll disappear. Do as Corksmom suggested and bring this auction to the attention of safeharbor.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Do you really even need to ask??!!
Geez! You'll probably pay with PayPal & then blame PP when ya get screwed!
How much does a REAL store (BestBuy;C-City;CompUSA etc) charge for one of these??
Here's a tip: Do an internet search for this monitor. Then print out the TWO lowest prices offered. Then walk into C-City or B-Buy & start negotiations
Over the past 3 months, I bought a DVD/RECEIVER COMBO & the Kodak LS-443 DIG CAM at C-City.....NEVER DO I PAY THE ADVERTISED PRICE!!
