Hi all~

Well I survived my first free listing day and even had a nice profit. Now I am going into my first three day weekend.

Are there any rules of thumbs for listing on a three day weekend (Holiday on Monday)? I have looked and looked to see what high sellers in my catagories are doing but can't get a handle on it.

On one hand you would think that on a non even holiday like the one coming up that would give buyers more free time to sit around in the afternoon and shop. On the other hand maybe they dont.

Any words of wisdom~
Sandra

I always like to have exposure over a 3 day weekend. Even though Memorial and Labor day plus the 4th of July finds many people on the road, there are still a lot of stay at home types who will be surfing on Monday who normally wouldn't. The winter 3 day weekends find a lot of people trapped inside in the colder areas with nothing better to do than explore Ebay for the first time. If there's especially severe weather in some parts of the country, you have a "captive audience". Over all, I feel that a good many people who aren't allowed to use their computers at work for Ebay will be at home surfing and buying. Also, the Monday in the three day weekend gives you a little more flexibility in auction ending times. Sort of like a second Sunday in the week.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
