You can't even get email support from ebay anymore. I would like to get a retaliatory neg downgraded to a neutral because the deadbeat is now suspended. But I can't find any ebay customer support form!!

If it ain't profitable, it ain't worth it! Customer support only interferes with the bottom line....

NO I'M SHOCKED !!!!!!! My best advice is to write your note copy it and paste it anywhere you find a contact us button on ebay. site map and community board are good starters. I tried calling them about a problem I was having several months ago and ended up talking to some guy in SALT LAKE CITY!!! who was the poor soul paid to say and I quote "They don't have direct communication with anyone!" He was like Harriets answering service who took on the wrong customer and couldn't wait for the contract to be completed. He is the one who urged me to do what I just told you to do.. it took 8 letters and 3 days but I did get a non computer generated, real person, first person email from ebay. I have it framed in my office! Good Luck We all know your pain!

"Customer service"? You must be jesting. There is no customer service. I can't even get frivolous bidders with bogus email addresses suspended any more.

I read last night on that somebody sued over negative feedback. You could atleast threaten them.
check out below. Atleast it's worth a thought:
They like citicorp are just too big to do business effectively. They don't care about people anymore, just the bottom line.

You can easily get around them removing
anyone's feedback link by clicking on the
other person's feedback link and typing the
username of the one you want to see over the
other person's username at the end of the
URL... :^)

zathras11 appreciate that but the point I was trying to make was that if they don't doctor Pierre's Feedback what chance does Ebayauctionguy have ????
Though in a way have to give them credit they do seem to stick with their no playing with ebay feedback rule - I mean for the owner of Ebay to have a feedback rating like this is almost laughable - but it does make for some entertaining reading on pages 2, 3, and 4.

Well I finally made contact with a human being at ebay and it looks like I'm out of luck. Below is the response I got from ebay.
-----------
Hello xxxxx,
Thank you for contacting us about this situation.
We have reviewed the feedback in question to see if it is eligible for
removal. We found that the feedback does not meet the requirements for
removal as outlined in our Feedback Removal Policy. This policy can be
found at:
Unless the feedback meets this policy we cannot remove it. Due to the
fact that there are few instances where we are able to remove feedback,
we try to encourage all members to use caution in posting feedback.
Unfortunately, good members can sometimes still end up receiving
feedback they feel is inappropriate or unfair. However, unless the
feedback meets the removal policy guidelines regrettably it cannot be
removed.
One option that could be of help in this matter would be to enter
mediation with the other member through SquareTrade. SquareTrade is an
independent third party mediation service not connected with eBay. If
eBay is provided with a ruling or settlement agreement from SquareTrade,
we are able to remove the comment. We will remove it only after
SquareTrade contacts us. When a feedback comment is removed, another
comment cannot be left in its place. You can contact them at the
following URL:
We wish that in cases such as yours we could bend the rules. However,
this is one area where we must be rather stringent. This is because of
the liability posed to us should we vary from this policy. Please review
the information found in our feedback removal policy at the URL listed
above. Hopefully, after doing so, you can see how our hands are bound in
this situation.
In the past, the eBay feedback system allowed you to leave feedback
comments for another eBay member even if you hadn't completed a sale
with that member. Since it was so easy to leave feedback, some members
took advantage of the situation by leaving large numbers of comments for
another member even if the comments were undeserved. For example, under
the old system, your feedback rating could have been increased by any
eBay member who chose to leave you positive feedback comments or
decreased by anyone who chose to leave you negative comments.
Because of this unfair use of the feedback system, if a member was
suspended from eBay or asked for an account to be closed (or
unregistered), any feedback comments that had been by that member were
changed to neutral. This was done to protect eBay members from having
large amounts of undeserved negative feedback comments as part of their
permanent feedback profile.
In 1999, we began requiring that feedback comments be connected to the
sale or purchase of an item on eBay. We sometimes call this type of
feedback "transaction-related" or "transactional" feedback. Because all
feedback comments are now transactional, it is no longer necessary to
"neutralize" feedback comments.
Now, when a member who has been suspended or unregistered from eBay has
the account reactivated or reinstated, the neutralized comments received
in the past from that member will not be restored to either positive or
negative comments in a feedback profile. On the feedback profile page,
there is text that mentions the number of non-registered users who have
left neutral comments. This text only applies to those users who were
members with eBay prior to the change in policy.
Thank you for using eBay.
Regards,
Vivian

Hi, I received retaliatory negative feedback from ebay member "xxxxxxxx"
back in May 2002. It was undeserved and untrue and it tarnished my
feedback record. This member is no longer a registered ebay member and I
was wondering if that negative feedback can be removed or at least
downgraded to a neutral feedback. Thanks for your time.
