I get an Ask the Seller a Question email and they want pictures of an item. I think they want specific shots that may not appear clearly on th eauction page, so I ask them what pictures they want.

They respond they want any pictures that will give them a good idea of how the item looks.

I reply asking if the auction page pictures aren;t showing up ?

They reply that their computer is really slow so they haven't seen the auction page pictures.

I reply that I can send them pictures, but if you have a "slow computer" it will take your email just as long to download.

haven't heard backyet- anyone want to speculate as to where this situation is heading ???

Sent the pictures. Get a reply that there were no pictures attached to the email. Checked my sent email file and sure enough, two pictures were attached.

It's getting better. their reply--- 'you must be doing something wrong because even your website has no pictures.'

My reply- What website ???

Should I just email this person and tell them they are too stupid to be online or make purchases or should I take the challenge and try to make the sale ??

or should I take the challenge and try to make the sale?

Would it be worth the while, somehow I keep thinking that you will spent hours on just emails.

I think this might be a good time to go to your blocker bidder page before you get into this hole any further.

I feel another letter going out

Dear Ebay customer
We are telling you to the following we have also provided you a detailed drawn picture manual.

1.Call ISP tell them to cancel your account
( Note they will not badger you if you tell them you are too stupid to operate a computer ( Admission is the first stage of recovery )

2.Please turn off the computer if you know where the switch is ( shown in detail, Item 1)

3.Place the computer in box
( shown in detail, Item 2)

4.Take computer to nearest computer store and drop it off, telling them you are too stupid to operate it ( this is your second admission, it comes easier than the first but there is still a long road of recovery ahead )

5. At this time you should seek out a recovery center for interneters they do treat stupid computer users as well.

this all reminds me of a friend of mine who was computer illiterate. i spent 2 hours on the phone one time (her dime!) trying to explain some basic things to her like unzipping a file, how to _find_ the file, how to install it, etc. she desperately wanted to do this herself, as her husband - with the FBI in white collar crime - thought she was computer illiterate. thinking: "if the shoe fits, wear it."

after two hours of this, i reluctantly said "*****, please ask ***** to install this when he gets home and then call me back and we'll take it from there." never heard another word about it. have also suggested to two buyers that they go and download a copy of winzip to solve some viewing problems, never heard another word back.

i don't know, it might depend on the price of the item, but there just aren't that many sales i'd want that badly, considering the high cost in time it might take to consummate the deal. if it was an established repeat buyer, i would go out of my way to help them. i guess the older i get, the crankier i get. i just don't have time for extensive hand-holding, when it comes to the computer.

I never get computer questions, good thing too because I don't know all that much, but PayPal questions!!!!!

I have a personal account & if I have to explain one more time why can't take credit cards & answer questions on how the buyer can go aout paying me with a balance transfer or an e-check, I'll scream.

A friend of mine has an expression: YCFD.

Ya Can't Fix Dumb.

At this point, I just deny the payment, NPB 'em ("What? I TRIED to pay for it!" ) and move on.
