I have an about me page - I did it because I want people to think I'm a person and not a business - if that makes sense. I guess there was such a bad rap about powersellers that I wanted buyers to "get to know" me. You can look at mine if you like - it's pretty boring, really, and I don't know how many people actually look at it. You can link directly to a web site - ebay allows it there. I also put a little of my TOS there - just things like "Please remember media rate shipping does take 2 weeks or more sometimes" (it's in my auction also). I put my favorite links there and just some other "stuff" as well as my feedback. people do a lot of different things with their "me" page. I have never had anyone actually tell me that they looked at it, though.

you don't have to disguise your outside links at all- from your aboutme page. I have pretty blatant links, in nearly every paragraph, LOL I have a link to it inmy auctoin copy to encourage people to see it and I am sure people go to mine, because I get a sale or two from my website for each auction I post., even if I don't sell my auction item.
