I have 2 customers that i'm trying to communicate with. one buyer, I have sent 4 messages to her email and yet to get a reply.. This customer has messaged me 3 days in a row through contact a seller on ebay. asking if I'm interested in having her as a buyer or NOT. I then send a invoice through ebay and she still sends me a message that she has not heard from me.. I'm not sure if she's legit or just trying to play games...

Buyer number 2 I send a confirmation email a week ago. he promply replies that he does not want to use Paypal. I then send my address to mail a payment he replies next morning that the check is in the mail. Then tonight I receive a message from this buyer through Ebay claiming that he has never heard from me. I have sent him 3 emails tonight and he will not reply through the email. he keeps messaging me through ebay..

My email does work so what is going on? I'M thinking of just sending these 2 people a neg stating that they do not know how to communicate...

customer #1 -
May NOT be receiving those eBay invoices - there are numerous threads on eBay's Checkout "Help" board where this problem has been reported (hotmail and MSN addys are known to have a problem with eBay's server, numerous others have also been affected and AOL randomly throws emails into a cyberspace trashcan without either party's knowledge of attempted send/receive). Sounds like your buyer is attempting to make contact with you. Have you tried emailing thru your ISP directly?

customer #2 -
Sometimes the lightbulb at the other end of emails is not shining brightly. You state you have already connected once thru your ISP's (so that line of communication should be available) - I'd just resend your previously sent email.

You can also pull their contact info and call them.

As far as leaving negs. for these transactions right now, I'd keep trying to resolve the problems. FB can be left up to 90 days (sometimes+) after EOA.
I can almost guarantee your negs to them will be reciprocated in kind.

I have one of those myself but she's even wierder. She initially emailed me asking her if I would amke a deal with her on shipping becasue she regularly buys 40-50 pieces at a time. I told her that was somwhat impossible considering the ebay fees and the prices (under $5) of the items she went to my AW store she would find all of the same merch available with no shipping prices. She then wins 9 items. Every email I sent her gets returned as undeliverable but I notice that the undeliverable address is not exactly the same as the one I am sending things to. A week later I recieve a paypal payment from her say that she was unable to figure out the AW checkout system and with her own drastially insufficient postage amount added. I refunded her payment withan explination and the correct total. I then get an email from her which is a response to one of the formerly returned as undeliverable emails where she plays confused dumb blond (did I mention that while she was not able to figure out the checkout proces she did manage to find her way to my store to add another item.

Now is been another 3 days since I last heard from her - haven't decided whether or not to neg her yet but filing NBA tomorrow

With two incidents coming close together, I'd entertain the possibility that the problem is with your account. Either your ISP or hers might be under a block because of spam-hosting activities or open relays that spammers can exploit. Because spammers shift between several addresses, the only way to block them is to filter out entire domains, meaning some legitimate email gets trashed.

You need to check with your ISP regarding their filtering policy, especially since you've had two similar incidents in a row. And to make sure the problem isn't with your provider, I'd check to see if your ISP is on the Spamhaus Block List, which many administrators use to filter their customers' email. It could be that your own provider is suspected of spamming.

Some ISPs also filter all-HTML emails, which is the core of Hotmail's recent problems. (Spam is more likely to transmit as all-HTML than regular person-to-person email.)

If the issue is a blocking one, especially if you're the one who's being blocked, the only real solution is to switch providers or go to a permanent web-based address (like Yahoo.)

I'd pull the contact info and call them....Better than playing the chase the missing e-mail game

UPDATE- Buyer #2 now admits that he is mistaken. He did send out payment a week ago, he just forgot to fill in his check book who he sent the check to...

Buyer #1- still avoiding me, I have been sending messages through ebay and directly to her listed email addy. Perhaps she has buyer remorse.
