While we're all waiting for the Internet to heal itself, could someone help me with this one? I want to delete a photo from a current auction. I went to revise the item but saw only a place where I could add a photo. Is this impossible? (I've never had to do either adding or deleting a photo from an auction that was running.)~Adele

The URL address can be found in the: Edit Discription.
Scrol down till you find it and delete it.

Or you could delete the actual pic.

Or change the name of the pic.

The last two ways will likly leave the famous little red X in a box.

Okay, guys--one more thing! I went into Image Hosting and deleted the picture there, then added a better photo (which of course is at the very bottom of the auction page). BUT the space where the deleted photo was now has a big ugly black and white box that says "the (deleted) photo is currently unavailable. Please check back later."

Is there any way I can remove that ugly box?? Will it go away by itself if I leave it alone and don't feed or water it?

If you rename the new photo the same name as the original photo, it should fill in the box for you.

Syes: How do I do that? Sorry to be such a yutz; this part is all new to me. If you can tell me, please spell it out slowly, A - Z, so I can do it. Thanks. I appreciate your help!

When I want to delete or change a picture on one of my auctions I go to eBay & then to the auction page, click on revise & then click on "edit discription". When there, scroll down to <img src etc & just delete only the name of the picture (I use numbers) & type in the name of the picture you want to use. That way you can change a picture without a red X or even a space, it will simply take the place of the unwanted picture.

Couldn't be easier.

I looked at your listing. You rename the picture DesertRosetrivet3.jpg on your computer then upload it. Just rename it the same way you always name them. (if you normally don't need to add the .jpg at the end of the name then you just use DesertRosetrivet3) It should fill in the box.

Find the photo you want in the auction. Hopefully you have it on your computer some place.

With the pic showing, go to 'File' then 'Save As'. Under 'File Name' type in the name of the original photo which you deleted. Be sure to put the extension, such as '.jpg'. Also, be sure to use capitals if the original name had them.

Then upload this picture to your AW Image Hosting.

That should do it. I will be up for a while, so give it a try.

It worked! Thanks, syes and sapington. This is like a miracle to me.

NOW--I have the identical picture in two places in that one auction--one is in the proper original place, the other is at the very bottom. I'm concerned that buyers will think there's some significance to the two identical pictures there. If I try to delete the picture at the very bottom (the added one), will THAT leave an ugly box with words in it?! Should I leave well-enough alone?
