Does anyone know? Is there any quick way to find out via statements on auction watch or ebay what the total dollar amount of things I have sold since starting auctions 2 years ago is?

you can go to your accounts on ebay and look at all invoices. you may have to come up with your own total from that.
it is really helpful to create yourself a spreadsheet and keep track of it that way.

If you are not recording your business data in an accounting software like Quickbooks, then simply look at your prior filed tax statements, then add in this year's sales which you can obtain in the Accounts section of My eBay.
For those of you who don't use accounting software, I honestly don't understand how you are able to get your data to the CPA without a lot of time and effort and anguish.
I took all of my stuff to the CPA on Saturday morning. For the business, all I had to do was backup the data onto a disk, print the year-to-date profit and loss, plus the ending balance sheet, and include my reconciled business bank statement ending December, 2002. It took me less than 15 minutes to do that, included it with the mountain of other stuff from my asset accounts and other income sources, had my appointment with the CPA as she entered numbers into her system, and that is it until I pick up my tax forms and estimated quarterlies from her when she has everything prepared.

Say you are a police officer or get a police officer friend to ask eBay and eBay will give all information about you back to 1995 -- everything you have ever clicked, bought or sold, on eBay has been recorded since 1995 and is available to the police without a subpoena.
