Jeez, Monday was SUCH a Monday ... I had some small toys and somehow, someway, listed the same auction TWICE. Just noticed it today. Both auctions have bids. How do I handle this?

We have had this happen several times. And it was nothing we had anything to do with. Seems that pending can double auctions and put them up twice. Have reported this to AW and then it stops for a while. But just started up again.

Just went back and looked at both auctions. They are only two numbers apart in the item numbers and were are scheduled to end one second apart. Now I am thinking this is a malfunction on ebay's part. I don't use AW as an earlier poster suggested. I was using their seller format. Now my question is, who/where in ebay do I contact about this?

Contact Ebay billing and request a fee credit for the auction you end. Explain to them that it was an erroneous double list and ask them to pass the info on to their tech staff. Before you cancel the bid and end the auction, get the bidders email address. Email him and explain why you ended the auction and direct him to the active auction. You might even want to offer him a discount on the shipping if he wins the other auction. Try to get a bidding war going between the two bidders.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

I did that last week but I start typing my auctions about two days before I launch them and I happened to notice I listed one auction twice. Mine was easy to cancell. Some days it doesn't pay to get up.
