Half.com now lets you communicate directly with your buyer, and does not automatically refund the buyer just for reporting a problem - interesting. Of course, if I wanted to contact the buyer before, I just did it through ebay, but now maybe they will contact me if there is a problem more directly....
Here is the news
Direct Communication between Buyers and Sellers
Feb 28, 2003 01:00 PM
Dear Half.com Members,
We understand that open communication is the key to preventing confusion and encourages clear communication between members. To foster better communication we have redesigned the way members communicate with each other. As requested by many of our Members, Half.com now supports direct email communication between buyers and sellers.
Sellers on Half.com are held to very high standard. With that said, issuing a refund is sometimes necessary. To make issuing a refund quicker and easier, Half.com now supports seller initiated refunds. For transactions that are confirmed after today, refunds are no longer issued automatically as a result of a buyer reporting a problem about an order.
Sellers are required to initiate all refunds, including orders that are cancelled after being confirmed. If you are a seller, click here to learn more about how to issue a refund.
We hope these changes make your buying and selling experience on Half.com even more enjoyable.
