Hi everyone. I seem to get my best info on this board so I ask the indulgence of you doll experts. In my attic I came across an old companion type doll that was mine as a kid. She dates to like 1958-60. Stands 35 or 36 inches talll, has rooted blond hair in a short bob, sleep eyes (blue)and a hard plastic body & legs with vinyl(?) head and arms. Fully jointed.
I think she's a Patti Playpal but I can't confirm that. The face looks exactly like the face on this doll (link below) currently on ebay BUT the marking on the neck of my doll is numerical and is "3651" with "16" directly under the first number. The markings are centered on the back of the neck and directly under the hairline.
I will add a photo to this post when I get home later, but thought someone might find the markings familiar and be able to point me in a direction to research. I was going to list her on eBay, but I don't want to list her as a Patti Playpal if she's not.
