Sitting here with a head full of pollen and medication and accidentally left the wrong person negative feedback. What can I do to reverse this, if anything?

someone did that to me once on half - I am afraid there is not much you can do unless you pay $20 to squaretrade to remove it. You are going to have an angry bidder. It wasn't worth $20 to remove bad feedback from my half account since I know I am only going to get more there. The person was very apologetic, and I left her positive feedback because I felt it really was an accident.

Jinkies - try contacting ebay and explaining the situation. In the meantime, inform the customer of the mistake and have them respond in the feedback that you informed them it was a mistake. You can then respond to their response and confirm that you messed up and glow about customer so that anyone who reads the feedback can get clarification.

Pay the $20 if you have to and get Square Trade to reverse it.

I only have one neg from my first month on Ebay and I loath and detest that ugly little red 1 that shows up and now it will be 99.9% showing up to the world!

BTW, it was a retaliatory neg for one I left before I got smart enough to never ever leave negs. Just do FVF and get them kicked off!

Go back to JinkiesVelma post and read it again. She left a neg by mistake to the wrong bidder.

I know, that is why she should have it removed, regardless of the cost.

Edited to add:
I was just explaining how much we hate the negs, those ugly red numbers and everything that follows. An apology after the remarks won't make that go away. And months or years from now (mine was 4 years and 1500 feedbacks ago) people won't see the explanation.

If you have 1 neg and 1400 positives the only person it matters to is you. Bidders are not going to care less.

I left the wrong feedback for someone once. I emailed ebay and they even wrote back a couple times. They finally said they couldn't do anything about when they figured out I was trying to get them to remove a positive. They said they could only remove it if it was a negative and the same response was left to the correct person.
I was mad because I left a deadbeat bidder a positive for fast pay. After I resold the item I had two auction titles exactly the same in the feedback list and I selected the wrong one.

I know that is true, but it does matter to me. I offer refunds if a problem occurs and do just about everything to keep my feedback clean. I rarely have a disgruntled customer, but if given the chance, I can usually work it out.

And, wouldn't 100% look so much nicer than 99.9% by my name? I think so, but of course, I am am accountant and a Virgo and I do take everything very personal!

Tonight I am going to start the Square Trade process. I would absolutely HATE it if I had a feedback of FOUR and one is a negative!

Duh, me!

Have you tried contacting Ebay? Someone earlier said they would remove a neg if it was a mistake and if you left it for the proper person as well.

It's worth a shot. I assume you have emailed the person you negged in error?
