well, its been a week by now since I've sent a first-class mail to NY. Normally it only takes up to 3 days for first-class mail to go through the USPS system..

I have eDC with it, I checked the # and it still shows the same "USPS has been notified to expect package... blah blah"

should I give it a bit more time? this guy has been emailing me every day, kinda annoying but I can understand how he feels. I told him to wait 2-3 weeks, meanwhile I'll check with the postal office when I can... I also mentioned that I'll give him a full refund if it doesn't show up when a month has passed...

any other suggestions? now that I think about it, it hasn't been too long. I've mailed it on the 14th of march... its probably just taking a bit longer than usual.

I'll send him another one, but I'm all out of stock.

i think the mail has just slowed down for some reason.

I am waiting on a package that was shipped on the 9th...still nothing

maybe they are checking packages more thoroughly, thus slowing delivery time

Go the the USPS web site and e-mail them with the eDC #. Just say, "I would appreciate it if you could check on this. Thank you."

They always get back to me within a couple of days.

Just a note: One time when I did it, I found out the package had never left my local P.O. They hurried it out after the main office contacted them. They were mad at me, but my customer was satisfied.

I would give this up to two or more weeks as some mail is just hung up in the system these days.
Tell your buyer to relax as it will get there sooner or later. There is no reason that they have to email you that many times.

I'll send him another one, but I'm all out of stock.
I would not do that as there is not enough time gone by as yet. The post office does not consider this "lost mail" as it has not been over 30 days.

Is it possible for you to send the DC# to the recipient, so he can check on it himself?

I guess they were mad at me for checking up on them. The clerk said in an evil voice, "A Delivery Confirmation is for confirmation of delivery." I just smiled. On the internet, the "track/confirm" page shows many stops along the way as well as delivery.

I can't worry about them getting mad at me; I only care that my packed get delivered right.

he should have just waited a bit more instead of emailing me so much.

oh well, saves me a trip to the postal office.

I'm glad he got his package! Now you don't have to worry.

This is a timely thread for me as I just found out a package I shipped was "delivered" according to the eDC. Unfortunately, its in the wrong city, and the buyer doesn't have it.

I guess I'll have to go fill out the 'lost package' form at the P.O. Monday. This will be my first one. Bummer.

If you all would say a little 'lost package' prayer for me, I'd appreciate it.

I still haven't received my package after 2 weeks and the dc wasn't even entered at the PO on the shipping date according to the tracking info. I have emailed the PO asking for them to look into it.

alwaysbroke--

If your P.O. is like mine, they won't let you file a "lost package" report for your package delivered to the wrong P.O., because the Delivery COnfirmation shows it as "delivered."
[What part of "to the WRONG P.O." aren't they getting?!!]

I have a package that is in this situation--was delivered to the wrong P.O. (same city, different zip code) two days after I shipped it. It has now been a MONTH since shipment, and the intended receipient STILL does not have it.

I have written a letter to the postmaster of the P.O. where the package was incorrectly delivered, explaining the situation (with copies of the Delivery Confirmation receipt and the page on the USPS website confirming delivery to their P.O.), and describing the package. My biggest fear is that the package was delivered to the same P.O. Box number as the addressee, but at the wrong P.O., and the holder of the box at that P.O. has decided to keep the package. (!!!)

Good luck with your stray package.

janusaries,

That is my biggest fear, too; that whoever received the package won't want to bother with it. It is a larger box weighing over 40 lbs. I can just imagine the recipient saying, "I'm NOT lifting that box and taking it to the P.O."

Like I said, say a little "lost package" prayer.

The buyer left me positive feedback already, but I'm still going to do what I can.
