I just received an email from an ebayer asking me what my reserve price is on my auction. Do I tell them? They have not bid on my auction yet.

There is no problem disclosing the reserve. It can only help to get the bid you are looking for.

There have been pros and cons on this subject, but I never hesitate to disclose my reserve price. The risk occurs, I believe, when you think your item could provoke a bidding war and go much higher than your reserve (you have to have a lot of confidence here!). There may be no bids until near the end of the auction, and the reserve price, once disclosed, may be the winning bid. I still think it's worth the risk. Bids draw more bids, usually. Good luck.

Tell them, it may be within their bidding range...

I quit using reserves and start my auctions at what I would like from the piece. It's easier that way. You don't have to many emails to answer.
