A bidder has contacted me that someone e-mailed her that an item I am selling isn't genuine. I have the e-mail and the headers. Who do I send it to? Is there a special place for powersellers to send this to?
Thanks...Kathy

I believe you email safeharbor...

these people are such an irritant...I emailed ebay about one of these and they must have gotten a warning email, because they then emailed and apologized.

in my case I was the bidder and knew exactly what I was looking at, I didn't need or want his input.

the poor seller was very upset that she hadn't described the item correctly

try here:

You may want to bookmark it ~ for all your SafeHarbour needs
(PowerSeller Support will only pass the info on to them anyway so you may as well go straight to the source on this one!)
Good Luck!

She must be at it again. Got the same thing about a month ago. Contact Ebay AND the seller. The seller needs to know right away who is interfering in his/her auctions. Can we possibly have the item #?

Hi everyone and thanks for the help and empathy. I did turn the idiot in. They used the eBay "contact another member" form and the ID was right there. FYI, I'm the seller and a bidder contacted me about the e-mail from someone else.

For anyone who is interested (Cheryl)the item number is 2623632297. And the interference didn't seem to hurt it so far.

I'm doing the happy dance because I spotted this in a box lot and got it for $2!

Kathy - did your accuser give any indication of why they thought it wasn't genuine, or do you just think they were lying? (It could be one bidder trying to scare off another, since, as you say, these are not common items on eBay.)

You might want to try comparing any info you can find on your inteferee to the people on your bidding list. I doubt someone would be stupid enough to use the same ID, but you might find some connections.

They were either very badly informed or deliberately lying. I looked it up in several books and took it to the professional glass dealers group I belong to. It's real.

The person who interfered is a big glass and porcelain seller, at least recently. Well I take that back. There's a lot of reserve not mets. It makes me wonder if they wanted to get it cheap and re-sell. I did block the ID which is used for buying and selling.

It hasn't hurt bidding and there are enough bids now that I don't think there would be any credibility to the accusation of fakery.

And it's probably up high enough now that any bottom-feeders have been driven off.

Still, you might want to watch during the last few minutes of the auction to be sure you don't get hit by a retractor at the last minute.

Anyway ... congrats on the AMAZING find! When serendipity strikes like that it's blissful.
