I was really interesting in purchasing this item, but having been on eBay since 1996 - there are a zillion red flags waving at me, regarding purchasing from this person.

Auction is at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3601145897&category=3790

1st their feedback of 40 is from only 2 buyers, and most from a buyer which is no longer registered!!!!!!!!!

2nd Look at the wording of the Title, it sounds more like they are selling a box, and not a CD Rom Game

Would you bid in this auction???

He has an 800 # call him.
Get your questions answered before you bid.

If you look at his latest feedback and then plug the buyer's name into the completed items search for bidder...the only auctions that bidder has bid on are by that same person. Shill?

I wouldn't buy it because $7.95 to ship a box with a computer game? I hate getting ripped off on shipping!

I think his auction looks fine, but his feedback is very fishy.

40 feedbacks from one NARU buyer? Well, it's possible.

If you notice the fb left from the buyer, the buyer tells the seller that the seller was a good buyer and to tell his friends that he got a good deal.

Not a chance. Looks way too fishy for me.
Looks like shill, totally bogus.

Auction also says items are subject to prior sale. Isn't that against the TOS? I HATE going back and searching the rules if I don't have to! LOL!

::40 feedbacks from one NARU buyer? Well, it's possible.::

That's a SELLER, not a buyer. See the B beside the feedback? That means the member was the buyer of the merch, not the seller.

They offer an 800 number and encourage easily reversable means of payment.

I would buy.

Are you really going to penalize them because their only customer so far is a newbie? Maybe everyone else was just too paranoid. It doesn' look as though this seller has done anything to try to ratchet up feedback, they do not have high ticket items, or large quantites of listings.

What are the red flags that they are setting off - they got a great deal on a lot of jewelry from a seller that is no longer a member?

Look at his current bidders. There are a lot of repeat bidders. 3, maybe 4 of them. Based on my own sales I don't usually have that many bidders bid on this many items at one time. I would be cautious.

Look at this auction from the seller that left him the feedback.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10970&item=2608852105

Look at the email under "payment instructions". That dotcom leads to another dotcom. Guess what their toll-free number is? Come on...GUESS!!! Okay, Okay...
It is the same toll free number listed in this guy's auctions.

Shilling....and stone cold busted....

Not a great indicator. I have a new selling account that I started for 1 specific niche of items. I listed 36 items the first week. 31 of the items sold. I had one buyer that won 4 auctions and 5 that won 2 each. Does that mean that the 26 I have up right now are suspect?

The person that won 4 ws so happy with them he has bid on three more of my current auctions....Does that mean that the 26 I have up right now are suspect?

I looked at the auction again, and decided that this just couldn't be kosher - I'd rather pay full price, than risk trying to deal with what appears to me to be a crook.....

I know I wouldn't buy from you JWPC. No one spews more crap than you.

Now as far as this auction goes, the NARU person and this person is most likely the same person. If you check what this guy was bidding on and now selling, it is pretty much the same thing. As with the spewers auctions, I wouldn't bid on this on either.

notwithstanding the suspicious feedback activity, two things in TOS bother me. First "We ship within 7-10 DAYS of Paypal confirmation. For FAST 24 Hour SERVICE call 1-800-925-6853". So I use paypal to pay quickly but it'll take you a week and a half to get it in the box and out the door?? but somehow, some way you can do 24 hour service if I call? Second "Our Offers are subject to prior sale and may be rescinded at any time without notice" Kind of defeats the idea of a binding auction agreement. Finally, "WE GUARANTEE EVERY ITEM to be as Described ..." note, it's not guaranteed to work or anything, just to be as described so you are right, it could be just a New Box etc. Doesn't pass the stink test, find another seller, IMO
