i've noticed in our newspaper, stories about ebay fraudulent sellers right and left lately ... and these are about people local to our area! ... i am never surprised to read about them anymore ... it's the not-good ebay stories that are 'newsworthy' i guess. ... which of course scares some would-be newbies away i'm sure.

It's not news when a seller does what they are supposed to do... that is the reason eBay needs to get some better advertisement...

a friend of mine purchased a car engine on ebay about 6 months ago...the engine never showed up and the seller finally stopped answering emails...
when my friend emailed others that had left this seller bad feedback he found out the same engine had been sold 3 times. my friend was out $2100.00...half from a money order and half through Paypal.
The paypal part he filed with the credit card company and got back. the other half he had to travel to the next state and file small claims court...
the seller never showed up for the hearing of course..but the court was able to get the police involved since there was more than one claim for the same item.
well they arrested the seller last Sunday and my friend received a subpeona today to be in court on Monday....he was also advised that the rest of his money would be reimbursed by a check from the clerk of courts on Monday
