Rico. I have been searching the USPS website and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I go into international calculator and it says use U.S. domestic. Well since I didn't get a zip code how can I do it. The Package will weigh 3 pounds. Thanks in advance

You should be able to get a zip code as it is a US territory and will go using domestic rates. Ask the customer for their zip code as I've had one for every package I ship to Puerto Rico.

Try using the zip code 00979. It a Carloina PR zip and should be good for getting a postage price.

Thanks neonmania I used that zip code and it came up as this.

Priority Mail 3 Day(s) $8.55 Priority Mail
Parcel Post Unable to determine $6.32

Sounds good to me. I will keep this for reference. Thanks to all.

Also for reference - First class packages from San Diego to PR have been averaging about 4 days for me. I have two differeny customers in PR that have become regs and stuff I ship to them on Monday or Tuesday always makes it to them by the weekend.

I, too, had a recent query about shipping to the Virgin Islands. No address was included from the potential buyer, so I went just entered St. John's, Virgin Islands and found two (2) default Zips for the area at this link:

If you don't know a town in a US Territory, try Google search for the territory. You will almost always get a tourism link on Google, and that will provide businesses (hotels, etc.) towns and zips with a little further searching.

Works every time!

Good luck!

It is just zone 8.(same as alaska and hawaii) If you print the rate chart and zone chart, it is much quicker that going through the online rate calculator.
Make sure you have delivery confirmation on it. The last time I sent something there, the buyer emailed me 3 weeks later and said "I thought you were sending it priority mail"
I checked the DC and it said they attempted delivery 2 days after I shipped it. I sent him the DC number again and he said he had to go and argue with the postmaster to get them to even look for it. Without the DC number he would have been out of luck.

Thanks for all the info. I always have eDC on every package I send whether I pay for it or the seller. It doesn't take much time to type the label and the 13 cent cost is so minimal. Most of my packages are 1st class mail and that is worth the money.
