I received this Monday morning. Isn't this a little suspicious?
Dear eBay User,

It has become very noticeable that another party has been
corrupting your eBay account and has violated our User Agreement policy
listed:

4. Bidding and Buying

You are obligated to complete the transaction with the seller
if you purchase an item through one of our fixed price formats or are the
highest bidder as described below. If you are the highest bidder at the end
of an auction (meeting the applicable minimum bid or reserve requirements)
and your bid is accepted by the seller, you are obligated to complete the
transaction with the seller, or the transaction is prohibited by law or by
this Agreement.
You received this notice from eBay because it has come to our
attention that your current account has caused interruptions with other eBay
members and eBay requires immediate verification for your account. Please

I wouldn't do it.

Maybe send a copy to Ebay and request clarification, but I would not verify account info through an email link.

It seems like a very pitiful attempt to most of the readers of this message center but I bet it is very convincing to many inexpierenced ebayers. There must be hundreds of ebay accounts with stolen IDs/passwords every day with these emails.

I wouldn't recommend this to others but I get a real kick outta filling them things in.
Of course I have a firewall running and I must stink at filling out forms. None of the
info ever seems to be right when I get done. Hee Hee. I wonder how many people
might get caught "rattling the doors" at Ebay with my generously provided bogus
info.

Spammers get the same treatment here. Most of their forms have pull downs and
buttons so they only get the answers they want. Then they get some answers they
don't want. Or answers they never thought of. And impossible answers. And spam
bait addresses. I do have my fun.

Yes, it is pitiful but convincing if you don't look at the senders email address. It was just a user name @yahoo.com.
Like Jnash, I was tempted to reply with garbage, but was a little afraid to click it on.
