I have a new bidder from Canada who won my auction. She paid by money order right away but did not pay for shipping to Canada. I let her know she need to pay the extra cost and she had a fit. Finally she did pay. I shipped her package by Express Mail on 4/4. According to the tracking number it was delivered on 4/9. She said she never received it. I told her to check with customs. She says customs is holding it and will not tell her why and I need to find out. She gave me some 800 number that didn't work. I finally called my post office and they told me it cleared customs on the 8th and was delivered.

I just sent her an email and told her that is all I can do for her. I do not know what else to tell her. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you did everything you could. We find that customs sometimes holds the package for as much as two weeks so when you have Canadian customers tell them to expect that delay.

Also sometimes the dalay is because of paperwork problems and a package can be sent back to you for correct labels and forms if you sent via USPS.

If you send to Canada via UPS you can track the package and it will show where it is in the system including being held in customs.

You did your part and now it's her part. She may be not telling the truth.
I've never had problems with any international bidders except Canada of which at least 25% have mysterious problems the other nations do not.

I wondering if it is possible she needs to pay some kind of tax on it. Here is the tracking number, I do not know what else to tell her EU85 8750 720U S. I never had a problem with Canada.

She may well need to pay a tax or duty on this item.

In my auctions, I will state "Shipping weight 3#. Exact priority shipping IN THE U.S. from zip 92549 will be computed at auction's end." Etc. Whether I give exact shipping cost (under 1# weight) or doing the above, I always have IN THE U.S. there so that there may not be any mistake on the part of Canadian bidders. I suppose some won't read the description, but this does cover me in case of a dispute.
