Has anyone ever had a problem with Indonesian buyers. I had one today who wanted to purchase one of my wedding dresses. We had to explain several times how to use BIN etc... He sendS paypal with NO SHIIPING ADDRESS on the paypal notification. The payment is an instant transfer. He then e-mails me wanting me to confirm & "please ship today" it's 9:00 o'clock here.
I go into the auction to check out his FB, HE NEVER BOUGHT THE DRESS!! IT'S STILL UP!!

What to do??? HELP!!

on yahoo shopping, they trashed every order coming from indonesia.
they have many of our credit card data and just keep on using them and ask to ship the fastest way available.
(1) get the contact information from ebay and see what it said.
(2) ask paypal to look into his registration information and find out whose credit card is he using.
this is the website which can be helpful if you process credit card,it tells you from the first 6 digits of the cc who is the issuer .https://www.paymentech.com/banklookup/BankLookup.asp

WARNING - Never use paypal for any payments OUTSIDE the USA!!!

Sounds like the one I had from Indonesia. refuse the payment. Tell them that you only take bidpay or wire transfer payments. and DO NOT use the ones that link or go directly into to your bank account. Wire transfer to a western union office somewhere close to you so you can pick up the CASH yourself.

To be honest, it really looks like you are dealing with a scam to me.

Stop - you have the option to include a shipping address or not when you send a payment for yur own protection. If I am purchasing something that does not have to go thru email I never give my mailing address.

Never accept orders from Indonesia. They are almost all scams with stolen credit cards. I get them on my website all the time, usually large orders with the fastest shipping option.

replay Not even Ireland or Iceland? The Icelandians (Icelandish? Icelandicians? Icelandsharks?) have always seemed like a peaceable, promptly paying people, even if it does arrive faintly scented with pickled herring. And the Irish are so jolly!

Isn't Ireland part of the UNITED KINGDOM? So it doesn't count.

Iceland... Hmmm. Ya got me on that one. But I've never seen an order from Iceland, so we'll see when the time comes

I have had several sales to Italy with no problems. Isle of Man is another country but I'm not sure if I have ever shipped there.

So far I haven't heard anyone say anything about successful sales to Indonesia but some people there must be honest. Too bad for them, they would have a difficult time buying on the internet, that's for sure.

kiara...I sold a Bali Bra shaper to someone in Indonesian and didn't have any problems ,she e-mailed me and asked before bidding too(which is the biggest surprise)....the buyer even told what size mailer to mail it in to save them money on shipping ...paid me a extra 2.00 for all the trouble because I had never mail out of the USA before. It was cheaper to ship to Indonesian than a 1 lb. package priority in the state. 3.85 here 3.60 there hmmmm further but cheaper I was shocked. So there are a few honest ones out there.

toasted36, good for you! I'm glad to hear that there are some successful transactions to Indonesia.

I just checked and there are:

One company sells carousel horses. Someone should show him how to make a paragraph as his description is really long. "Alice" sure sounds like a great person!

kiara Isle of Man ... I dunno ... sounds like there's some issues there... especially for those who sell shoes ... Just look at the flag:
