I received this email directly (not as question for seller):
"I'd like to buy the XXXS postcard from San Diego that you had on ebay the other day.
I wanted to bid on it but my I have no idea what my ebay name and password are. Please let me know how I can go about purchasing the postcard from you.
I am happy to sell to him, but I can't figure out HOW he contacted me? I thought email addresses were hidden to prevent spam..aren't they?

It is possible to get a seller's email address if they are accepting PayPal and have checkout enabled. Not a one step process but it is possible.
Go to a closed auction and click on the "Pay using PayPal / Pay Now" button if it's available. Then you can fill in your PayPal password and when you get to the final screen of the confirming the PayPal payment click on link of the "user status" there you'll be able to see the user's email address.

THIS IS BUGGING ME!! I searched by email address in VENDIO post-sale management and found no match..ditto to PayPal history...did bidder search on Ebay and found his user name with one transaction (back in Sept 2002)....I hope I didn't offend him - when I emailed back the price of the card and where to send payment I asked HOW he contacted me..still waiting to hear.

BINGO!! Thanks Libra...mystery solved! I thought no one went to Vendio store - the counter barely budges - but this guy must have.
