I have a bidder who kept telling me the check is in the mail. Then she said that boyfriend mailed it, but then he didn't. A few months later there was a death in the family and they needed to money to bury their loved one...... They asked me if I would let them off the hook and they left me a positive feedback.
I told them I was sorry to hear about their the death in the family. I told them they could pay for it later when things got back to normal. They agreed. So far no answers to my email.
I went to look at their feedback only to discover that they didn't stop buying things.
I have been lucky that most of my bidders pay. I am a sucker for the sob story too. However it bugs me that they didn't stop buying things and could of paid me already.

And this should surprise you why? Treat them like any other deadbeat and move on. You have wasted way too much time on them already.
File your npb now, and then your fvf as soon as you can. Block them from your auctions and do not bother with anymore emails as this is a lost cause.
I have no mercy when someone out and out lies to me. Nail their azz to the wall and be done with them.

If a few months have passed, you may be out of luck. There is a limited window for getting fees back and for filing feedback. I don't care what the excuse is, if I don't have payment within a few weeks, they will get a FVF filed. I won't leave negative feedback, but I want my money back!
