I have a co-worker who loves to buy on ebay. We were thinking of collecting money and presenting her with ebay gift certificates. ANy idea if they do that and if so, how does it work. Or, perhaps we should just deposit money into her paypal account. Ideas please?

Half.com has them

but I can not see how ebay could have them yet. The new BIN auctions with mandatory instant pay may create a way to use an ebay gift certificate in the near future though.

What a great idea! Let us all know if and when it's possible to do. I love this idea.
