i need help finding a needle for a baby nursery scale..

i sold one on ebay and when it arrived the needle had somehow broken in half??? the buyer and i both agree that it is too expensive to ship it back since she still wants a scale and snabbed this one for a great price...so i have agreed to try and find a replacement needle.

what do i search for? trying for scale parts comes up with 7500+ in the web search and i am at a loss how to trim that number.

can somebody please help?

try www.sciplus.com it's American Science Surplus. They seem to have just about everything else...

If not, what about a clock hand?

Try the manufacturer of the scale. See if they have a website and trackdown a phone number.

it is a vintage American Family Baby Nursery Scale and i couldn't find anything for a website for them

thanks for the suggestions...i do have an old scale i could possibly take the needle from but don't really want to if i can find one somewhere else.

I was going to suggest a clock hand, too. Could a clock repairman sell you one? Better--if I were the buyer--I'd take it to a clock repairman, even if it cost a little more.
