yuck! Saturday I received a payment for a postcard from a buyer in the bid amount w/o the added $ 1.50 s/h...he included the packaging and stamped addressed envelope for me to ship his post card in..GRRRRRRR i thought..well I won't make a big deal about it...

in today's mail I got another check from the same guy..same deal..bid amount and no s/h...

what really ticks me off is that I have had no communication from the buyer saying that this was his intent!

I am trying to figure out what to do..what to say....I am tempted to block him from future auctions...these are the first two transactions i have had with him and his feedback doesn't indicate any problems..surely I can't be the only one he has pulled this trick on!

Any ideas? Thanks!

Block him - he is sure to contact you when he discovers the bock. At that point you can tell hi m that youblocked him because he has shown an inclinaion towards violating your TOS, that you would bhappy to againaccept his bids but that priviliedge comes with an aknowledgement from him that he will abide your S/H terms and will no longer attempt to enforce his will upon your business.

Wow - I just checked the feedback this guy left for others...ALL COMPLAINTS! Here are the first three! Looks like you have to check this out as well as feedback to get the full picture! I think I will block him and send his pc's out in my beautiful mailers! NO FEEDBACK FOR THIS DUDE until he posts positive for me!!!!!

Complaint: Not packaged properly for cost. Very difficult to deal with!
Response by xseller- We Package All Items Very Secure, No One Else has had a Problem
Follow-up by xbuyer - Item was packaged very poorly!

Complaint: Item was very poorly sent and s/h was overcharged. Very difficult person!
Response by xseller- ThreatenedNeg.FeedBackOverAuction's$1.00S&H-RefusedRefund-SentHarrassingEmails
Follow-up by xbuyer- Never left threatening emails/ I only wanted to know why I was being overcharged

Complaint: Charged $1.50 for s/h, but only spent 34 cents. Item came bent.
Response by xseller - ACTED LIKE A JERK.TRIED TO BLACKMAIL ME WITH FEEDBACK, OVER A BUCKI BE CAREFULL
Follow-up by eabjr - Charged me $1.50 for a .34 cent stamp/envelope. Of course, I was not happy!

I would send him the postcard(s) in your standard packaging, and block him from future bidding.

In fact, if I knew his id I would block him as well before he bids on one of mine

But, I wouldn't risk a neg by shipping in the envelope he provided. To me, it just wouldn't be worth it.

How do you check all of the feedback posted by someone?

lindajean- looks like i omitted disguising his name in the followup to the third complaint

ebayauctionguy: you can find "feedback left for others" on the feedback screen (near "viewing auctions" etc)

You caught me not reading very closely

He has over 400 positives and has only left 9 feedbacks in return--all negs!

Not someone I want to deal with.

LOL ihula - me too!

You are a better person than me, neglus - I would refund his money IN the envelope he sent - then block him

Well he's blocked...I am so tempted to email him that he violated the TOS and give him the choice of paying more $ for s/h (heck I will combine shipping on the two items so he only owes me $ 1.50) or I will return his checks..if he threatens me with feedback, remind him that feedback is a two way street - I can stand the neg (which will be buried on page 2 in a day or two) more than he can ( and i have the opportunity to neg him twice!)BUT.....

I am going to outclass the jerk and send his cards in my mailer, pay the 60 cents postage , explain why he is blocked from bidding in my future auctions and be done with it... thanks all

Thanks, Neglus. One, for accidentally outing this bidder's ID so I could block him. And, two, for reminding me of a few postcards I meant to list and forgot about.

Smart of you to take the high road with that guy. I had a lady like that today who demanded I explain my $1.00 shipping charge. I politely told her the time to ask about that was before she bid, as I don't haggle afterwards. The dollar won't make or break me, but I will not give in to these bullies.

Hope your situation turns out okay.

I don't mean to derail the thread here, and I've blocked the guy, too, but, I have been making a fixed shipping price. I haven't broken out the s/h largely because it gives me more wiggle room for packaging, first class versus media rate etc.
Hmm...the recent batch of auctions didn't do so well as the previous, but I have no way of gauging if I am actually affecting bids.
