Anyone that can HELP me... please do!

I am panicing!

OK, as I get payments in, I key the info into dazzle under address book. I mail out on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Ok, now the problem. I have 35 packages here, all the address were in dazzle. Tonight I go to do my postage and when I click on address book I get this message -

Unable to open 'C:\Program Files\Envelope Manager\Dazzle\NEW 0303.DBF'! Either it doesn't exist or is being used (and not shared) by another application.

OK, so I rebooted... thinking I might work. I open Dazzle and it created a new address book with only the QA Envelope address in it.

Now I have 35 packages here to send out that only have names on them. HELP! I can not mail them without addresses.

Please tell me in simple words what I need to do.

OK I learn a valuable lesson - always keep the addresses in two places. Seems like a waste of time and space but that would solve my problem!

PLEASE Any ideas on what I can do now? How can I find my address book!

Good Luck!!! I tried that service for 2 days. I got a hold of the "rudest" employee there when I had a problem. He also just patronized me like I was stupid and a computer dummy. When in fact it was an error in their system. I had a problem printing a postage label, it showed it printed, but didn't. I got a "Default in module type error". After dealing with him for 4 hours over $3.85 I said "Forget It". In 2 years with Simply Postage never did I have anyone be so obnoxious when they were helping me. I read how good Endicia was on the boards so decided to try becuase they are cheaper. Well, after I tried, I see why. Cheaper Customer Service. I have switched to Stamps.com and It is so easy and user friendly.

Richie-Rich -- Right click on the start button and select Search (or Find). Specify the file name as

c:\new*.dbf

and select the options to search all subfolders.

See if your database comes up. If it does, right click on the name and select Send. Email that file to me and I'll see if it's damaged.

Hi Harry,

I have to say that I have been using Endicia for over a year. Yes, there have been occasional glitches, mostly on my end, once in a while on the other end. Tech support has always been fast and courteous.
