I sold an item to a bidder in Europe. He paid by paypal.
I don't mind taking PP if he paid from his paypal balance, but I get nervous when foreign bidders pay with a CC.

How can I tell his source of funds with PP?
I check the details of the transaction and it says "type of payment ... instant"
I have no idea what that means, and it doesn't seem to indicate the source of funds.

if you have a personal account instead of business or premier account, you can only accept paypal fund not credit card,so this is how you know,
but with a premier or business card, you dont really know.

Thanks, Stop.
I have a premier account.
I wish PP would tell us though.

there is also an extra 1% discount fee for accepting foreign payment.
go figure, seller takes on more risk(no seller protection) and pay extra 1 %.
you can tell them to buy you a money order from www.bidpay.com
