Thanks for the response Roadsmith. THis was something my husband picked up and of course he wants me to put it on but I need to research it before I do.
There is a seller that sells leningrad porcelain but he never puts the mark in his auctions.

i beleive this is the old imperial lomonosov factory when catherine the great ruled russia,it is based in st petersburg.
then after the revolution,it was renamed to leningrad factory as the city of st petersburg was renamed to leningrad after lenin.
now it is known as lomonosov factory and is known for its animal and bird figurines plus chinaware.
ebay practically ruins the market for lomonosov products as they just keep listing, first there were only 3 sellers, then come individuals who ordered from wholesalers to sell on ebay, then comes the importer and wholesaler selling direct on ebay, then comes folks who live in leningrad selling from leningrad.prices just keep falling.
do a search on ebay now and see how cheap they are

Thanks stop. I did search and I noticed that only the unusual ones got high bids. There is a seller from Russia that puts on the unusual ones. I think it is a nice piece. It's not my type though. I will put it on and see what happens. I sure wish I could get bids like that plate but I know that will never happen.
