Nothing much by me. Got some old Fisher Price Little People for $1.00, a Disney video that sells for about $5.00 for $1.00. I'm cleaning up my boys' room this weekend and getting rid of some things they never play with - much better finds up there - Leap Pad with about 15 books, 2 huge bins of Playmobil, Fisher Price Castle....we'll see what else we come up with

Nothing here. Cold and rainy in the northeast. Hoping for a flea market visit tomorrow morning, though. Fingers are crossed.

Yesterday I found a little widget that was in the 1.99 baggies at Value Village (buying shirts to wear out at the stable...but browsed over on the wall of weird-combos-in-a-baggie - but I could just go on about the jesus pencils and the rubber stamp of a parrot in a bag together...too much!) and found a couple experimental items, some I have sold before with good results. Maybe the pickers at the store are too busy?

Started out early 11:30 am. Well, early for me. I wanted to go to the estate sale to see what was left after all the eBay seller left but on the way we stopped at a garage sale and I bought a beautiful Vera Bradley Quilted jacket in fabric that has been retired. Cleaned and ready to sell. Now all you 60's people I bought 1 magazine called SICK birthday. Didn't know anything about the magazine but it had a short story on the 3 beatles whoops I mean 4 so I thought I would give that a try. Does anyone know anything about it? It isn't getting any bids on eBay but it is an interesting magazine. I think it is a special issue as it is called Big Annual Sick Birthday. Ate lunch went to the goodwill bought nothing and then went home to get ready for a large rummage sale. Everything a quarter. Should be fun. Setting up rummage sale tomorrow.

Found nothing at yardsales but had a pretty good visit to the local jockey lot.

Found a 'baby' crockpot (only 1 quart) for myself - brand new in box, $3.00

Also found a 10.5' x 10.5' screen tent. That's not the right term - it has a roof like a tent but the sides are screened - nice for having a picnic outside and not have to worry about bugs. Also brand new in box - $25.00.

Two neat doggie bowls for my new puppy <grin>

Some science fiction books for myself.

I stopped at a yard sale once, an there was a Nikon 50mm lens $3.00, a Nikon motor winder $2.00, and a Nikon camera case $1.00. I was a cheapskate and asked if they would take $5.00 for all three and they through in a camera bag. I listed them on eBay and the lens went for $53.00, the motor winder went for $97.00 and the camera case went for $27.00. Oh and the camera bag went for $14.00. The other unbelievable finds have been from thrift shops. I purchased a Mark Martin racing jacket with tags for $2.50 later sold for $135.00, a Wizard of Oz 50th anniversary jacket from MGM for $1.50 and sold for $78.00, a Porsche jacket for $.90 for and sold it for $45.00 and a 1938 book on aircraft design I paid $1.00 and it sold for $34.00.

The other one that is fun is that I have been buying collage and high school year books of eBay with famous people in. The people selling them do not know this and them I have resold them advertising the famous person in the book and make a lot of money. Back during football I bought a college yearbook with a well know coach that was listed for $12.50 and $5.00 shipping. It resold for $178.00

No spectactular finds for me this weekend, but a lot of decent ones. There were a lot more garage sales than I thought there would be considering it is a holiday weekend. Even Goodwill and Flea Markets were good to me, I found several video games for $3.99 at Goodwill that I will sell for $15 to $20 (already sold a couple) and lots of gameboy games this weekend too - those are more difficult to find. The best news is that something I picked up for $3 a couple of weeks ago, I sold for $99 today.

my sisters and I got together this weekend (just us, no kids, no hubbies) for the first time in many years. our older sister is recovering from breast cancer and we needed time for us.

anyway, we all love garage sales and the older sister is a clothes horse....she bought 12 blouses/shirts, 8 pairs of shoes and 3 purses, all for $15.00....thank goodness she bought an extra suitcase on sale at the airport!

i found a Sega Genesis system with 8 games for $5.00, some pampered chef bread pans with the recipes still inside for $1.50 for all and a really neat set of cat glass coasters.

what a great weekend it was, regardless of what we found.
