Seems like an eBay seller got hauled into people's court for selling a "refurbished" portable computer and not saying it was refurbished after it was found out when it died and the buyer took it to get it fixed.

His description was "like new" and box only opened for testing...

The seller lost and had to repay the $1439.00 to the buyer....

forgot to add that the buyer stated she no longer would buy a high dollar item on eBay...

"factory refurb"
Those are some expensive letters...

I don't know why people don't say that it's a refurb. My digicam is a refurb and I use the heck out of it.
But, I knew it was a refurb, and the seller (not ebay) gave me a longer warrenty. So far, so good.
